Materials + Care

Each piece is leather, finished to be used. Full-grain, Nappa, Crazy Horse, shaded cowhide, and saddle suede all change in the hand. That change belongs to the hide.

  • Smooth leather Wipe with a dry cloth. Condition it a few times a year.
  • Crazy Horse Scuffs and pull-up color are the leather. Wipe it dry.
  • Nappa Keep it supple with a light condition. Do not soak it.
  • Suede Brush the nap. Keep oil and water off it.
  • Brass Antique brass dulls with use. A soft cloth brings the shine back.
  • Rest Stuff bags so they hold their shape. Keep every piece out of direct sun.

How it's made

From a strong hide

The leather comes from cattle with a thick, strong hide. It is then cut and stitched by hand, so the bag stays together in weather, travel, and years of carry.

The hide

Taken from cattle with a thick, strong hide. We keep the full grain, the part of the leather that actually lasts.

By hand

Each panel is cut and stitched by hand. The seam follows the hide, not a fast machine line.

Any condition

Rain, dust, and a hard day of carry. The leather and the hardware are built to stay together.

Still carrying

The surface marks and darkens with use. It keeps a record of the miles, and the bag still holds.

Why it stays

Built to be carried

Four things that decide whether a bag is still worth carrying years from now.

Strong hide

Full-grain leather from a thick cattle hide. Not a thin split that cracks.

Hand work

Every panel is cut and stitched by hand, so the bag is finished the way the hide asks for.

Holds anywhere

Weather, travel, and daily carry. The bag stays in one piece.

Years, not a season

It ages on the surface and keeps its shape underneath. Made to be carried, not replaced.
